Influenza & Covid-19 Immunisation
We are now booking 'Flu and Covid vaccinations for Autumn/Winter 2023
We will have vaccination clinics on :
Saturday 23rd September, Salturday 30th October, Saturday 7th October, and Saturday 14th October

Please complete the following questionnaire and return it to the surgery when you attend for your vaccination. Paper copies are available from Reception.
Who is eligible for a Covid Vaccination this Winter?
The Joint Committee on Vaccination and Immunisation (JCVI) has advised that the following should be offered a Covid-19 booster vaccination:
- residents in a care home for older adults
- all adults aged 65 years and over
- persons aged 6 months to 64 years in a clinical risk group, as laid out in the Immunisation Green Book, COVID-19 chapter Tables 3 and 4 (Green Book)
- residents in a care home for older adults and staff working in care homes for older adults
- frontline health and social care workers
- persons aged 12 to 64 years who are household contacts (as defined in the Green Book) of people with immunosuppression
- persons aged 16 to 64 years who are carers (as defined in the Green Book) and staff working in care homes for older adults
Does Age Affect The Risk Of Influenza?
Yes. If you are aged 65 years or over or you are at higher risk.
Who Is At Risk?
- If you are aged 65 years or over or if you are on regular inhaled steroids
- If you have a chronic respiratory disease (including asthma)
- If you have chronic heart disease
- If you have chronic renal disease
- If you are diabetic
- If you have a weak immune system
- If you live in a long-stay residential or nursing home
- If you have a chronic liver disease
- If you are a carer
Do I Need To Be Protected Against Pneumococcal Infection?
Everybody aged 65 and over should now be immunised to help protect them against pneumococcal infection which can cause diseases such as pneumonia, septicaemia (blood poisoning) and meningitis. Please phone the surgery during September to make an appointment if the above applies to you.
