Patient Participation Group (PPG)
Your Practice Needs You!
Come and join us as we all need your help!
With all that is happening within the health service in England, resulting in ever more pressure on GP Practices, it is vitally important that patients become involved in working with health professionals to improve the efficiency and quality of service delivery. It has been proved over the years that, by patients and health professionals working collaboratively, a real difference can be made to the benefit of all concerned. The collective power of the patient voice can, and has, affected government and local polices in the commissioning of services. Pendeen Surgery has an active and involved Patient Participation Group. Please see the link towards the bottom of this page ‘Constitution’ for more information on the group and its objectives.
As our Constitution Aims and Objectives state:
Aims
To promote the highest possible standard of primary care, through the medium of patient participation, co-operation between the Practice and Patients to the benefit of both, as from time to time to be determined
Objectives
- Be a patient voice: promoting a patient – led culture
- Promote better healthcare & treatment
- Challenge & support: help the Practice to improve service delivery
- Develop PPG influence through Good Practice
- Help the Practice make the best use of resources
We are members of the National Association for Patient Participation (N.A.P.P) and as such are members of a UK-wide network.
So please get involved as your views and experiences are important in the shaping of services! You can join by filling in a form at Pendeen surgery reception desk or by emailing us at pendeenppg@gmail.com
A few times throughout the year we ask our patients to fill in questionnaires and provide us with their opinions regarding different aspects of the surgery. Please complete and return to us as your views are important to us. You may not hear from us for a few months but we still welcome you to join at any point throughout the year.
We have a notice board in the main entrance to the surgery, so keep your eyes on this for latest information.
We look forward to welcoming you to our group.
