Carers Support

Do you look after a partner, relative, friend or neighbour? This could include personal care, housework, shopping or helping them get out and about. If so, you are a carer, and there is support available to you.

We are interested in identifying unpaid carers, especially those people who may be caring without help or support. We know that carers are often ”hidden” looking after someone with day-to-day tasks and may not even see themselves as a carer.

Caring for someone can be very rewarding. But even if you willingly take on the task it can still be very difficult. There will be times when you feel there is too much to do, not enough time to do everything, not enough money, no social life or time for yourself.

We want you to know that you are not alone! In Herefordshire there are over 38,000 people who are unpaid carers of all ages, all receiving help, support and advice.

We strongly believe that you should receive appropriate support, so if you are a carer, please telephone the surgery on 01989 763535 and a receptionist will be able to provide you with carers support information and how to register as a carer at the Surgery.
