Diabetes is a serious life-long condition with the potential for important long-term complications. These can be kept to a minimum by careful control. All our diabetic patients are on a register and will be contacted about six months after their birthday to make an appointment with the HCA for a blood test, blood pressure, and a foot check, and a then Diabetes Clinic appointment with Alison Holmes (our Diabetes Specialist Nurse). Please bring your spectacles (if you wear any) to your appointment as your vision will be checked, along with a sample of urine and your test record book.
