The Health Authority runs a Cervical Smear call and re-call scheme. Women will receive a letter when their smear is due. Women are routinely called at aged 25 then at 3 year intervals until aged 49 then 5 yearly until the age of 64 when call-up ceases.
Results are posted to the patient and take up to 6 weeks to arrive. If no letter comes by then please phone the surgery.
