The check includes relevant family and personal medical history, life-style enquiry, blood pressure, height and weight (to work out BMI – Body Mass Index), urine analysis (bring a sample). A blood sample for cholesterol may be taken if the check-up suggests it is necessary.
A similar check-up is offered to all patients new to Pendeen Surgery – a New Patient health Check. The practice Nurse will give health advice based on the check-up.
